Description

Captured by photographer Pedro Oliveira, this editorial image presents a wide-angle view inside a bustling fish market stall. In the center, an older man with grey hair and a beard wearing a white hoodie reaches over a counter laden with an abundant display of fresh fish, including red snappers and various silver catches. A large fish hangs dramatically in the foreground, framing the upper portion of the composition with its tail and body silhouetted against the bright interior lighting. The market stall features display cases, price tags written in Arabic, and harsh overhead fluorescent lights casting strong highlights across the wet surfaces. In the background, another figure stands near dark shelving units under the industrial ceiling structure.
