About

A narrative video directed by Nicolina Knapp captures intimate moments inside a residential apartment, focusing on a young Black woman reading and sending text messages in a dimly lit hallway. The camera cuts between her glowing phone screen and scenes of a couple interacting warmly in an adjacent kitchen, highlighting themes of connection and distance. Natural light streams through window blinds into the kitchen while the hallway remains in soft, low-key lighting. The sequence employs a cinematic style with shallow depth of field, emphasizing the glowing UI elements of mobile chat interfaces.
