Description

This editorial photograph by Nick Eagle captures an elderly couple seated on a wooden bench inside a retro laundromat. The older woman, dressed in a vibrant red coat and teal trousers with blue eyeglasses, sits upright with a curious expression. Beside her, an older man wearing a brown hat, white shirt, maroon vest, and light trousers reclines against the bench with his arms crossed and eyes closed. They are positioned in front of a row of bright turquoise washing machines with yellow upper panels and round glass doors. A blue sports jersey reading Stelling hangs over the left side of the bench, while laundry detergent and a basket filled with colorful cloths sit to the right. The lighting is warm and directional, highlighting the textured tiled floor and wooden wall paneling above the machines.
