Description

An elderly man is seated in profile on a simple wooden chair against a light textured vertical wall. He wears a dark velvet blazer over a dark shirt and dark trousers. A faint red light catches the back of his head and shoulders, providing a soft contrast to the cool ambient tones filling the rest of the muted interior. The composition is framed vertically with a moody, contemplative atmosphere. Photographer Nadav Kander captures the subject in London.
