Michael Baumgarten, Photographer, Paris

Description

This striking photographic work by artist and photographer Michael Baumgarten captures a man seated from behind on a large, glossy pink inflatable flamingo float. The subject's back and shoulders show light suds or texture, and he is positioned in profile against a textured, intricate blue-and-white patterned backdrop reminiscent of foliage or botanical illustrations. The composition is centered in a studio environment with clean white flooring. The lighting highlights the glossy surface of the inflatable float and the contours of the subject.
