Memet Erol, Photographer, Istanbul

Description

This black and white interior photograph by photographer Memet Erol captures a candid moment in a bright domestic bathroom. A woman wearing a white belted bathrobe and feathered slippers is seated next to a vintage clawfoot bathtub, gently styling the long hair of a young girl standing beside her. The young girl wears a light-coloured patterned two-piece outfit and stands barefoot on a bath mat. The composition is framed through an open doorway, creating a sense of intimate observation. Natural light floods the space from a large window behind the figures, casting soft highlights and gentle gradients across the tiled floor and classic fixtures.
