Description

This square watercolor illustration by New York-based illustrator Maya Ish-shalom depicts an interior kitchen scene. A person with white hair, wearing a vibrant red short-sleeved shirt and a white apron, stands in profile facing a sink where water runs from a tap over a white plate. In the background, a dark window looks out onto a deep blue night scene. On the counter beside the sink stand a tall white bottle with a purple label and two red tomatoes with green stems, alongside a small cup and saucer. The palette is dominated by rich blues, bright red, and soft white washes, rendered with visible watercolor textures and clean, graphic color blocks.
