Matthew Rolston, Photographer, New York

Description

This striking portrait photograph by Matthew Rolston depicts a male subject with his upper body visible against a dark gradient background. The subject is covered in dark greyish-blue body paint with visible brushstroke textures across his chest and face. He wears an ornate, heavily textured sculpted beard in shades of deep blue and teal, paired with a gilded gold wreath crown adorning his hair. The dramatic lighting casts soft shadows that emphasize the physical form and the intricate sculptural details of the facial adornments.
