Martin Poole, Photographer, London

Description

This commercial food photograph by London-based photographer Martin Poole depicts a festive holiday dining table spread with a variety of dishes. At the centre, a large spherical roasted meat centrepiece rests on a bed of mashed potatoes, being garnished with cranberry sauce from a small spoon. Surrounding the main platter are bowls of green peas, roasted potatoes, glazed carrots, brussels sprouts, meatballs, and filled glassware. The table is draped with an ochre-yellow tablecloth, and the background features warm, dim indoor lighting with a glimpse of a decorated tree.
