Marek Micanek, Photographer, Frankfurt

Description

This portrait photograph by Marek Micanek features a striking silhouette of a person's head positioned above a horizontal water surface, with its inverted reflection clearly visible beneath the waterline. The underwater portion glows with a distinct greenish tone, filled with fine particulate textures suspended in the liquid. Above the waterline, the upper silhouette rests against a dark, warm-toned backdrop, creating a stark contrast. The composition is divided cleanly by the water's edge, highlighting minimalist forms and moody lighting. Captured in Frankfurt, the image emphasizes abstract visual geometry and atmospheric lighting effects.
