Description

This intimate photographic portrait by London photographer The Masons captures a close-up, rear view of a Black man whose skin is dusted with coarse sand along his spine and shoulders. The warm, natural lighting highlights the rich texture of the skin contrasted with the granular texture of the sand. In the blurred background, the pale tones of a sandy beach and water are visible. The composition is tight and sculptural, emphasizing form and tactile surfaces.
