Description

A small raw squid is skewered vertically onto the prongs of a silver metal fork, positioned centrally in the frame. The squid displays mottled brown and cream skin with fine speckling, and its tentacles cascade downwards to the left. The fork tines pierce the upper mantle of the squid, while the metallic handle extends straight down through the composition. The entire subject is isolated against a solid black background, creating a high-contrast studio still life. Directional lighting highlights the glossy, wet textures of the seafood and the polished metallic surface of the fork.
