Lou Levy, Photographer, Paris

Description

This vertical night landscape photograph by photographer Lou Levy captures a body of water illuminated with an intense blue light at night. The brightly lit blue surface contrasts sharply with the dark, silhouetted treeline and forested hillside running along the bank in the background. Above the tree line, a dark night sky with faint stars completes the nocturnal scene. The composition is structured vertically with a large expanse of white space beneath the lower edge of the water view. The low-key lighting creates a dramatic, moody atmosphere with high contrast between the glowing blue water and the surrounding darkness.
