Description

A contemporary dancer is captured mid-motion under directional overhead lighting against a deep, shadowed backdrop. Her dark hair whips upward around her face as her body arches dynamically, highlighting the tension and fluidity of the choreography. The low-key chiaroscuro lighting accentuates muscular form and physical expression while receding the surrounding space into near-total darkness. Movement direction and choreography for the performance work is credited to Lisa Maris McDonell.
