Lili Wood, Illustrator, Paris

About

This vertical gouache illustration by Paris-based artist Lili Wood portrays a serene woodland scene dominated by a massive pale tree trunk in the foreground. In the midground, a diminutive figure wearing a red coat and dark trousers stands on a fallen log, gazing upward amidst an expanse of turquoise, mint, and forest green vegetation. The painted surface displays visible brushstrokes, layered washes of pigment, and a rich textural quality across the flora and tree bark. The cool green and blue colour grading creates an immersive, atmospheric environment.
