Description

A dramatic mountain landscape under an expansive sky filled with heavy, dark clouds. Powerful sun rays beam down through gaps in the cloud cover, illuminating the valley and distant snow-dusted mountain peaks below. A dense line of dark evergreen pine trees stretches across the foreground and lower slopes. The natural lighting creates a high-contrast interplay of deep shadows and luminous ethereal beams. This striking photographic work was captured by photographer Katy Grannan.
