About

A portrait of a smiling black man in his 20s standing outdoors with his hands on his hips. He wears a black sleeveless tank top paired with light grey shorts and a smartwatch on his left wrist. The subject is captured from the waist up, laughing and looking upward with head tilted back. Sunlight illuminates the scene from the side, casting soft shadows. The background consists of a pale grey concrete block wall in Los Angeles. The image was photographed by Katie Thompson.
