Katie Thompson, Photographer, Los Angeles

Description

An outdoor portrait captured in Los Angeles by photographer Katie Thompson features a young woman descending a set of concrete steps. She is dressed in a black athletic crop top and matching dark trousers, viewed from behind and slightly to the side as she turns her head. Sunlight casts strong linear shadows across the pale stone treads, which feature prominent yellow safety strips along their edges. Handrails frame the staircase on both sides, creating leading lines in the composition. The natural daylight highlights the texture of the concrete and the relaxed athletic attire of the subject.
