Karan Kapoor, Photographer, New York

Description

This portrait by photographer Karan Kapoor features an elderly couple seated side by side on an ornate tufted bench within a richly decorated domestic bedroom. The man on the left wears a light blazer and trousers, gently holding a small terrier dog on his lap. Beside him, the woman wears a patterned dark robe and is posed formally with hands clasped. The background reveals a large bed with a gilded headboard, bedside tables with lamps, and framed artwork hanging on the wall under soft, ambient indoor lighting.
