Description
This conceptual installation piece directed by Julie Verhoeven features an oversized black and white gingham blouse draped over an unseen form. Emerging from the collar is a rolled paper cylinder displaying a black and white portrait of a woman with red lips. Two pink ceramic plates, one attached to the garment with a cascading strand of pearls and the other resting on the floor below with loose pearls scattered around, complete the composition. The entire sculpture is set against a plain, neutral background with soft, diffused lighting. A white product tag hangs visibly from the sleeve of the garment, adding a tangible retail element to the surreal assemblage.
