Joshua Woods, Photographer, New York

Description

A vertical portrait photograph captured by Joshua Woods features a smiling Black woman in her 30s seated in a dark wooden armchair. She is wearing a long-sleeved black dress with a scoop neckline and hoop earrings. Her hands are clasped gently in her lap as she looks directly toward the camera with a warm expression. The background consists of gathered olive-green fabric curtains with a grey lower border, creating a simple indoor setting. The lighting is soft and even, highlighting the subject while casting gentle shadows around the chair.
