Jon W Johnson, Photographer, Los Angeles

Description

This vertical portrait photograph by Jon W Johnson captures an athletic black man in his 30s lifting a heavy cylindrical training sandbag across his shoulder. He wears a dark t-shirt and shorts, with beads of sweat visible on his skin from intense physical exertion. The scene is shot outdoors in natural daylight with a soft background of natural vegetation and warm highlights catching his shoulders. His expression is focused and determined as he stabilizes the heavy load with both hands.
