Jim Goldberg,

Description

This mixed media artwork features a black and white portrait of a young woman posing against an expressive, heavily textured background filled with white painted brushstrokes. The central subject wears a dark strapless dress with a silver-lined top edge, accessorized with a pearl necklace and earrings. Gold painted highlights outline the silhouette of the woman and accent the outer borders of the composition, framed by a delicate hand-drawn red border. The work combines photographic portraiture with painterly markings and mixed media collage elements.
