Jim Goldberg,

About

This portrait photograph by Jim Goldberg captures a Black man standing outdoors against a plain pale wall with a small leafy branch visible in the upper left corner. He wears a light pink and white striped button-down shirt with rolled cuffs, dark blue pleated trousers, a belt, and dark shoes. A cigarette rests in his mouth, and he holds a small brown bag in his right hand while resting his left hand on his hip. The ground at his feet is a mix of dirt and stone rubble. The natural daylight creates a soft, documentary feel.
