Jared Soares, Photographer, Seattle

Description

This outdoor photograph by Jared Soares captures a uniquely vibrant urban basketball court nestled between tall buildings in an alley setting. In the immediate foreground, the center pole of the basketball hoop is wrapped in blue padding, leading the eye upward to a striking translucent pink backboard. The ground and surrounding walls are painted in bright, saturated gradients of teal, magenta, yellow, and orange, creating a bold geometric composition. Several distant figures are scattered across the court surface, adding a sense of scale to the narrow enclosed space. Natural daylight illuminates the scene, highlighting the matte textures of the painted concrete and the architectural details of the surrounding structures.
