Description

Captured in Berlin by photographer Janine Sametzky, this horizontal editorial image features a young red-haired girl and a young blond boy seated opposite each other in an intense chess match. They are sitting at a table with a chessboard between them, flanked by two bright red molded plastic chairs with metal legs. The girl on the left wears a white collared shirt with a grey vest and a dark skirt, her long red hair cascading down her back as she reaches out to move a piece. The boy on the right wears a grey sweater over a white collared shirt with dark trousers, resting his hand near his head in a thoughtful pose. The setting appears to be a school or community hall with neutral walls and subtle architectural pillars in the background.
