Jake Michaels, Photographer, Los Angeles

Description

This behind-the-scenes photograph captured by Jake Michaels in Los Angeles shows an indoor basketball court environment during a media production. In the foreground, a Black male athlete stands with a white towel covering his face, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with white drawstrings and logo details. A long boom microphone extends diagonally overhead, aimed directly toward the central subject, while a camera rig with a viewfinder appears in the lower foreground. In the midground, additional crew members and supporting figures are visible, including a person in a blue athletic jersey moving on the polished wooden court floor. The background features yellow and blue championship banners hanging along the light-coloured wall, alongside a digital scoreboard and athletic equipment. The lighting is bright and even, characteristic of an indoor gymnasium setting.
