Jai Odell, London

Description

This close-up portrait captures a person whose dark hair falls straight down, obscuring their eyes while leaving the nose and mouth visible. Their head is covered in a layer of clear plastic wrap, across which thick strokes of vibrant multi-colored paint are applied in hues of red, yellow, blue, and white. The subject's expression is neutral with slightly parted lips showing teeth. The background consists of a solid, muted blue tone, creating a stark contrast with the colorful paint on the head. The lighting is soft and even, highlighting the glossy texture of the plastic and the thick impasto of the paint.
