Description
This video segment shows a collection of vintage photographs and video footage depicting the human skull trade in the US. Many shops appear with their names on signs such as Head Honcho, Noggin's, and Gertie's Skulls. Most of the images show shop owners standing or sitting in front of large shelves of human skulls. The people in the images include shop owners and customers. There is a statement that the trade was unregulated in NYC until 1994. Footage includes both colour images and black-and-white stills.
