Glen Luchford, Videographer/Director, New York

Description

This black-and-white documentary photograph captured by director Glen Luchford in New York features a young man balancing on a skateboard atop the hood of a vintage Volkswagen Beetle. The skater extends his arms for balance while wearing a t-shirt, dark trousers, and sneakers. Another person peers out from the driver side window of the heavily worn car, while a small group of young spectators stands nearby against a textured brick wall background. The image has a raw, gritty aesthetic with visible film grain and a distinctive red marker border framing the central composition.
