About

This illustrative work by Gina Kiel features a large-scale mural painted across an interior corner wall and concrete floor. The primary subject is a stylized black sculptural bust of a person shown in profile facing left. Vibrant multi-colored stripes stream from the head and cascade downward, transforming into concentric ripples that spread across the bright blue wall and wrap around onto the concrete ground below. The composition uses bold, saturated hues including red, yellow, blue, pink, and turquoise against a solid blue background. The mural creates an optical illusion of a figure partially submerged in rippling water.
