Description
A black man in his 50s wearing a grey t-shirt is captured outdoors operating a backyard barbecue smoker that emits a thick plume of white smoke. He holds a grilling tool while lifting the lid of the cooker, which stands on a concrete sidewalk alongside a residential street lined with houses and parked vehicles. The natural daylight illuminates the scene with soft shadows, highlighting the billowing steam and smoke rising into the air. Photographer Gabriella Angotti-Jones documents this candid suburban moment with an observational documentary approach.
