Description

This black and white photograph captured by Franck Pourcel in Paris features two shirtless men engaged in a game of chess indoors. The scene is illuminated by strong backlighting from a window directly behind them, creating high-contrast silhouettes and dramatic shadows. One man wears a conical hat, while both stand wrapped in light towels around their waists, intently studying the chessboard positioned between them. A small lamp sits on the windowsill, casting a soft glow against the dark interior setting.
