Finn Beales, Photographer, New York

Description

This landscape photograph by Finn Beales captures two small wooden boats moored beside a curved stone pier on the shore of a wide, calm lake. The scene is set under an overcast, misty sky with distant mountains fading into a heavy grey fog. Lush green trees and vegetation line the sloping shoreline on the right, framing the water. The composition is quiet and atmospheric, rendered with a desaturated colour palette and soft natural light. Ripples dimple the dark surface of the water under the steady rain.
