Emily Maye, Photographer, New York

Description

This vertical image captured by photographer Emily Maye features a high-angle view of deep, dramatic shadows cast across a diagonal wooden deck. The sunlight creates sharp contrasts on the wooden planks, tracing the distinct silhouette of a person's upper body and hand holding a pair of round sunglasses. The natural outdoor lighting emphasises the varied textures and grain of the wood flooring. The composition relies entirely on shadow play and geometric lines.
