About

This digital illustration by New York-based illustrator Eleni Kalorkoti features a dark, textured brick wall in the foreground with silhouetted figures casting shadows. A cross-shaped opening cut into the center of the wall reveals a brightly lit interior space populated by diverse people in profile, some with hands clasped in prayer or reflection. The color palette contrasts the dark grey tones of the exterior wall with warm yellows, reds, and browns of the figures seen through the cross aperture. The composition uses negative space and structural framing to create a contemplative atmosphere.
