Description

An elderly woman with short white hair and glasses stands centrally in the frame, wearing a red and dark striped patterned sweater and dark trousers. She stands on a snow-covered ground with slushy tyre tracks, positioned in front of a row of large, plastic-sheeted greenhouses with metal framing and smoking chimneys. Piles of chopped firewood sit on a pallet to the right near the main greenhouse structure, while bare trees rise against an overcast sky in the background. The lighting is natural and diffuse under an overcast day, capturing an authentic rural winter setting. The portrait is photographed by Jason Paige Smith in Boston.
