Jason Paige Smith, Photographer, Boston

Description

This vertical portrait photograph by Jason Paige Smith captures an elderly man standing waist-deep amidst tall, dry marsh grasses and reeds. He wears a dark green quarter-zip fleece pullover, light-coloured trousers, a belt, and a cap, looking directly toward the camera with a calm expression. The surrounding environment consists of a dense wetland area with a dark body of water visible to the left. In the background, a line of dark autumn-toned trees under a dramatic, cloudy sky completes the natural landscape. The lighting is soft and directional, accentuating the textures of the vegetation and the subject's features.
