Duane Michals, Photographer, Milan

Description

An editorial portrait by photographer Duane Michals captures a woman leaning backward against a fluted neoclassical column. She wears a structured beige vest with button details and dark trousers, raising her right hand to hold a bright pink peony blossom above her head. Her left arm reaches toward a vertical wall on the right side of the frame, where handwritten text reads The anxiety of a Rose. The lighting is soft and directional, creating gentle shadows against the plain interior wall background.
