Dimitri Newman, Photographer, Los Angeles

About

This still life photograph by Dimitri Newman features a pair of aviator sunglasses resting inside a small red tray, positioned directly over the eyes of a textured figurative oil painting. The portrait depicts a profile of a figure with red lips, set against a rustic vertical wood plank background. The lighting is soft and even, highlighting the textured brushstrokes of the canvas and the glossy finish of the red tray. The composition centers on the interaction between the modern accessory and the traditional painting medium.
