Didier Delmas, Photographer, Paris

Description

This interior photograph by Didier Delmas captures a vaulted hallway featuring whitewashed arched ceilings and a stone staircase ascending from the lower level. A second-floor landing is framed by a decorative wooden railing and an elaborate stone doorway lintel. Two mustard yellow upholstered chairs with dark slender legs sit side-by-side against the white lower wall beneath a metal candelabra stand. Two gold leaf-shaped wall sconces flank the central doorway, while a suspended glass pendant lamp hangs in the foreground. The composition is lit with soft natural light, highlighting the organic textures of the stone and plaster.
