Description

This black and white image features a large group of diverse individuals gathered together in a group portrait outside an urban brick building. The subjects are arranged in multiple rows, with some standing and others seated on steps and the pavement, creating a candid yet composed community scene. The strong daylight casts sharp shadows on the brick wall and the concrete sidewalk beneath them. One individual in the center holds a trumpet, adding a distinct musical element to the composition. Captured by photographer Devin Allen in New York, the monochrome treatment emphasizes textures in clothing, brickwork, and pavement.
