Danielle Levitt, Director, Los Angeles

Description

This composition features a pile of shattered concrete blocks and rubble painted in vibrant shades of purple, blue, green, and cream. The broken fragments are heavily textured and display remnants of colourful graffiti art across their surfaces. Overlaid across the central portion of the image is white sans-serif text reading On the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Planned Parenthood took down hate. The lighting is diffuse and natural, illuminating the rough textures and varied paint strokes across the debris. Director Danielle Levitt captures this close-up perspective of urban destruction transformed by colour.
