About

This editorial photograph captured by Daniel Obasi features a central human figure painted in metallic silver, posing with arms raised and wearing elaborate white feather and floral embellishments. Surrounding the central figure are multiple musicians dressed in crisp white shirts and head coverings, with white face paint applied to their features. The musicians are holding and playing various brass instruments, including a prominent trombone and large tubas that angle across the frame. The background consists of a bright, overcast sky with soft, diffused natural lighting illuminating the scene. The composition is vertically framed, creating a striking alignment between the silver central subject and the surrounding brass band.
