Daniel Boud, Photographer, Sydney

Description

This striking portrait features a mature, bald man photographed by Daniel Boud in Sydney. The subject is captured from the chest up, wearing a dark polo shirt against a uniform blue background. A dramatic vertical beam of warm light cuts straight down the center of his head and face, creating a stark contrast with the cool blue ambient lighting that envelops the rest of the frame. He has a serious expression, looking directly toward the camera with furrowed brows. The dramatic chiaroscuro effect highlights the facial contours and skin texture under the narrow beam.
