About

Environmental activist Julia Butterfly Hill sits cross-legged inside her makeshift platform shelter high in the redwood canopy. Dressed in a dark black fleece pullover and dark trousers, she rests calmly on a red patterned blanket surrounded by camping provisions, a green sleeping bag, water bottles, and gear hung from a tarp-covered wooden dome frame. Lush green forest foliage is visible through the openings of the shelter structure.
