Clovis Retif, Illustrator, Paris

Description

This mixed media illustration by Paris-based illustrator Clovis Retif presents a cream-colored paper ground bordered by a reddish-brown line, featuring a large central terracotta-colored clay vessel with decorative spirals. Arranged around the central pot are various drawn and collaged elements, including a dark charcoal portrait of a face, a human hand with rings, a white abstract letter form, a small car illustration, cutlery, and miniature landscape images. The composition blends distinct illustrative styles and textures to create a cohesive yet fragmented visual narrative.
