Clovis Retif, Illustrator, Paris

Description

This mixed media illustration by Paris-based illustrator Clovis Retif combines drawing and collage elements on a textured background. At the center is a detailed monochromatic drawing of a seated figure with arms resting on knees, surrounded by various graphic elements. Prominent visual features include a stylized 7Up logo, a cross-shaped emblem with Latin text and a saintly figure, and a small flower drawing pasted on the right. The composition employs a collage aesthetic with hand-drawn sketches, stenciled typography, and numbers. The overall piece has an eclectic and layered feel characteristic of street art and zine culture.
