About

This photograph by Clayton Cotterell captures several small, rustic bread loaves baking inside a dark oven. The warm, focused interior lighting highlights the textured crusts and floured surfaces of the dough as it bakes on a tray. The composition centers on the middle loaf while other loaves recede into the dimly lit background of the oven. The soft lighting creates warm golden highlights on the baked goods, emphasizing their rustic forms and golden-brown crusts. The low-key environment focuses entirely on the baking process.
