Citizen Jane, Casting, Sydney

About

This comedic video project created by Citizen Jane in Sydney captures an amusing scene at a local community baking competition. An elderly woman wearing glasses, a pale collared shirt, and a pink cardigan inspects a row of sponge cakes on display tables adorned with bunting. She awards a yellow ribbon to a cake before turning her attention to participants and declaring various actions un-Australian. The indoor community hall setting is decorated with festive banners and features background characters observing the proceedings with expressions of surprise and amusement. The cinematography employs natural interior lighting and a narrative cinematic style with a touch of deadpan humor.
